Yolanda Owens, owner of Iwi Fresh in Atlanta, Georgia produces and sells a line of natural skin-care products created from her very own recipes that blend fruit, vegetables, and herbs fresh from the farm. True to its name, “Iwi” stands for “it is what it is,” signifying the simple, raw ingredients behind Iwi Fresh’s products. However, no recipe could have anticipated navigating a shutdown and reimagining business after the pandemic was declared in March 2020.
